Favor

After a long absence from bloggin I have finally returned.

Ever wondered how difficult life would be if there are no favors given to us freely? As simple as have someone:

  • do the laundry for you
  • help you separate the laundry (sa puti, sa pula, sa itim)
  • fax, print an important letter for you
  • pay the bills online instead of you going to the bank
  • massage your aching back and feet after a long day
  • replace the tires, check the oil and brakes of your car
  • ensure you have hot water for your bath
  • ensure you have emergency money in your wallet
  • ensure you have a full tank before the start of the week

And as complicated as asking someone to:

  • help you before the check you issued becomes a problem because of insufficient funds
  • follow-up with HR regarding your last pay (more than 3 months in process)
  • drive your son to school because you're sick and you're supposed to do it
  • lend money since someone will be admitted to the hospital and she's not sure if her credit card will be accepted as payment
  • and the list goes on and on...

It takes humility and kindness to help someone in need/in distress on top of all the overdue deadlines, the long "to-do" list they have. But it is surely appreciated and treasured by the recipient and reconfirms that God is good all the time. And to all of you who makes my life so much easier (you know who you are) many thanks and I love you deeply.

Life is not that difficult to handle if you have people giving you a hand.
